Paravyan and Tan Zhongyi win Gibraltar Masters 2020

21-year-old Russian Grandmaster David Paravyan is the winning surprise of the 2020 Gibraltar Masters after defeating Andrey Esipenko and Wang Hao in the tiebreakers. Seven players were tied for first place at 7.5/10, but only four could fight for the first prize of £30,000, with Mustafa Yilmaz. And while David Navara and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave disappeared in combat.

Tan Zhongyi, from China, took the women's first prize of 20,000 pounds after defeating French champion Maxime Lagarde with 7/10.
